And I guarantee you, if you follow every single step, you will have your new blog running in a few minutes.

So this is how to start a wordpress blog and make money online in Hostinger.

Step 1. Go to Hostinger.

The first step to do on how to start a blog in Hostinger and make money online is to Click here to go to Hostinger Website. The first segment would be Choose a period. In your Account Plan, chose Premium 12-Month Price. This is if you want to host your wordpress blog for one (1) year. REMEMBER. Your domain name (with the .com) will be your account name in Hostinger.

This is one of the most important factors in starting your blog. Chose your domain name carefully. If you have entered an invalid domain name, meaning someone owned that name already, so try to put a dash (-) in the middle like www.house-designs.com or prefix “the” like www.thehousedesigns.com.

Chose your domain name carefully for it will represent your brand. Finish Setup Domain.

You need to provide your real information like First Name, Last Name, Address, etc. Fill up all the necessary information boxes. Click Finish Registration and wait for 2-3 minutes.

Step 6. Install WordPress in your Hostinger Account Dashboard

The sixth (5th) step in how to start a wordpress blog In hostinger is to install wordpress in your Hostinger account dashboard. When I did this, I am really really excited. I don’t know why but I do feel that way.

What you should do is find and click on WordPress. See the picture above with the arrow.

Click on the Install button below. See the arrow.

This is the last step in order for you to start your wordpress blog on Hostinger. Are you excited?

You will then be directed to this page. There will be two text boxes where one is you have to select your domain. Just click the Select your domain box and leave the directory untouched. So in this part, you have to select where you want your domain to appear with www or without www. It depends on you, with www is the recommended one like www.bestodays.com.

In this part, you need to put your:

• Site Name or Title (ex:  Best Todays), 
• Admin Username (ex: startablog or mypetnameistoffy),
• Admin Email Address (ex: [email protected])
• Admin Password

Check the three check boxes below and the last action you need to do is to click on the Install button to start your wordpress installation.

You will see this page after. You can see the above words: “WordPress Is Installing.”

After a few seconds or minutes, you will see this message: “Installation Complete” and you are now online! CONGRATULATIONS! Your wordpress blog is now online!

How to Customize The Appearance of A WordPress Blog on Hostinger

So you already have a wordpress blog and now you want to learn how to customize the appearance of a wordpress blog on Hostinger. Okay, this may sound techy but don’t worry, if you are thinking this is difficult, this is not actually. WordPress is a very user-friendly platform wherein people who do not know to write a computer program or code can easily customize a wordpress blog.

If you have followed my previous tutorial on how to start a wordpress blog on Hostinger and successfully did it, congratulations! Let’s get going then. In the tutorial, you will learn how to customize the appearance of your new wordpress blog.

If you are not so familiar with what is a wordpress theme, I will elaborate briefly. A wordpress theme is like an empty structure of your blog. Practically, it’s like an empty house. You can add furniture, curtains, or electronic devices based on the actual structure of your house. Like a wordpress theme, you can add a header, sidebar, or logo based on the structure of your theme. You can even change colors, fonts, and sized depending on your theme options.

How to Customize the Appearance of WordPress to Start a Blog: 3 Easy Steps

Step 1. Go to WordPress Blog Administrator Dashboard

The very first thing to do in order to customize the appearance of a wordpress blog on Hostinger, you need to log in to your dashboard. How can you do that? The default one is to go to www.yourdomainname.com/wp-admin or www.yourdomainname.com/wp-admin and enter your username and password.

Remember when you set up and install the wordpress blog on Hostinger? You are asked to enter the Blog Name, Email Address, Username, and Password. Use that username and password.

Step 2. Go to Appearance Menu

In the Appearance Menu, you will find 7 submenus:

• Themes – change or upload wordpress themes.
• Customize – customize the look of your current active wordpress theme.
• Widgets – add widgets in the header, sidebar, and footer if your theme has these options.
• Menus – navigation menu (Home, Start a Blog, Increase Pageviews, etc.).
• Header – blog name, logo, or header ads (depends on your theme).
• Edit CSS – edit the CSS of your theme.
• Editor – edit the entire code/scripts in your theme.

What you want to do is to go to Customize submenu wherein you will be given a dashboard to change your logo, and blog name, add widgets, menus, and more.

You can have an experiment here. Try to do it and think if your customization is good.

Step 3. Save The Final Customization

Okay, this is very easy but most people forget to do this. If you are okay with the position of your logo, your header, your menus, and your sidebar widgets then it’s time to save your final customization in your blog’s appearance.
